Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel

The Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel is comprised of a series of tunnels and bridges that stretches for 17.2 miles. The tunnel opened in 1964. It is one of the seven engineering wonders of the modern world. Your group will want to take the drive through this magnificent tunnel. If the group enjoys seeing open water birds, the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel has some of the most beautiful birds on the East Coast. There are a wide variety of these magnificent creatures. Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge

The Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge is located in Virginia Beach. This wildlife refuge was established in 1938. The group can observe the wildfowl using different methods. Featured ways to access the habitats include: marsh trails, bikes, a board walk overlook, and the beach. Featured habitats include: sand dunes, maritime forests, fresh water marshes, ponds, ocean beach, and large impoundments for wintering wildfowl. There are also guided tram tours available as well. The guide will explain each animal. There are several wildfowl on the refuge. Featured animals include: the American Black Duck, the Tundra Swan, the Loggerhead Sea Turtle, the white-tailed deer, bobcat, thrushes, warblers, woodpeckers, migrating songbirds, Sandpipers, sanderlings and willets. These are just a few of the interesting species. The location also offers adult programs. Featured programs include the following: evening tram tours, nature camps and turtle talks. American Rover

American Rover is located in Virginia Beach. The location offers harbor and Sunset cruises throughout the year. Visitors will enjoy the view of the water. Ship features include: climate controlled below deck cocktail lounges and a ship store which offers souvenirs, snacks and drinks. The Harbor Cruise is 2 hours in length.
